Dugong Bombo Radyu Bloodletting Activity
November 15, 2025 – Robinsons North Abucay,
Tacloban City

Our group participated in the Dugong Bombo Radyu Bloodletting Activity held on November 15, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 NN at Robinsons North Abucay in Tacloban City. The event brought together individuals from different communities with one shared purpose—to help save lives through blood donation. Being present at the venue allowed us to witness firsthand the importance of volunteerism and the positive impact that simple acts of service can create.

While attending the activity, our group also continued our academic responsibilities by holding our class through Google Meet on-site. This experience reminded us of the value of flexibility and commitment, as we balanced our participation in a community service event while still fulfilling our academic duties. It was a unique situation that showed our ability to adapt and stay responsible regardless of the setting.

One of the most meaningful parts of the experience was seeing some of our group members step forward and donate blood. Their willingness to volunteer demonstrated courage, compassion, and a genuine desire to help others in need. Witnessing this reinforced the idea that even a small act, like donating blood, can contribute greatly to saving lives and supporting medical institutions that rely on these donations.

Beyond the practical act of donating blood, the entire event deepened our understanding of civic involvement. It emphasized that community service is not only about participation but about showing concern, taking initiative, and being present when society needs our support. Through this activity, we also learned to appreciate the efforts of organizations and medical staff who work tirelessly to ensure the safety and success of such programs.

Attending the Dugong Bombo Radyu Bloodletting Activity was a meaningful and impactful experience for our group. It strengthened our sense of responsibility, empathy, and teamwork. At the same time, it reminded us that serving the community, even in simple ways, can create lasting and meaningful change. We left the event inspired, grateful, and more aware of the important role each person can play in helping others.
